If you have experience growing dahlias, you have learned, you dont always end up with the tuber you want. It is easy for growers to mix up the varieties. In addition, since there are close to 60,000 dahlia varieties, there are many that are almot identical. This is the case with this lovely! I ordered as Castle Drive from Flower Hat. He later put out a post indicating he had bought Castle Drive tubers, but was told by the company he purchased the tubers from that it might actually be Coralie. And so it goes!

What is the big deal you ask? Well, in the frantic world of dahlia tubers, Castle Drive was a hit, and very hard to get. As with most things if something is popular but hard to get the demand goes up.

Whether this is Castle Drive or Coralie, matters not. I can tell you that this was one of my biggest bloom producers in 2021. The stems are incredibly long, sturdy and straight. A very strong plant and a good tuber producer. Bloom colors range from peaches to pinks and changes as the summer progresses. Stems are dark colored.

Extremely long vase life for a dahlia. She shall be Coralie from now on! 4-5” balls
