We have learned many things about growing flowers in our 6b Michigan climate! The spring blooms (ranunculus and tulips) are typically finished by the end of May. Meanwhile in late January we start the cut flower seeding proceaa. The earliest we can plant our flower seedlings has been around Earth Day, the third week of April Snaps and a few other cool weather flowers go in the ground then. Our issue with June is lack of flowers in bloom! Patience! The Snaps and others won’t be in bloom until the third week of June at the earliest. We will see what kind of spring weather 2024 has in mind!
